We are looking for a candidate to join our growing Engineering team and build out the next generation of our products. The ideal candidate is a hands-on embedded software developer with extensive experience in DSP, networking, VoIP/SIP, and Linux.

We’re looking for someone with experience in embedded software development. They must have strong, firsthand technical expertise in a variety of configuration management and programming technologies and the proven ability to fashion robust scalable solutions that can manage large data sets. They must be at ease working in an agile environment with little supervision. This person should embody a passion for continuous improvement and test-driven development.

Using technical experience and the desire to troubleshoot technical product issues, the candidate will work with customers and internal staff to resolve issues and maintain a positive relationship.
The candidate will communicate with employees, stakeholders and customers to provide excellent customer service and provide valuable feedback to the product development team.
Overview of responsibilities:
Analyze, design and develop product improvements to resolve bugs and implement new features
Expand expertise and DevOps capabilities for strategic DSP processes to further advance the solution
Implement robust processes for continuous integration and continuous development to accelerate delivery
Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements in existing systems and platforms
Collaborate cross-functionally with business users, tech teams and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
Work alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices
Extensive experience working with low-level C programming and embedded development.
Extensive experience with digital signal processing for voice and modem applications
Extremely proficient with Linux on embedded architectures.
Well versed in networking technologies and concepts.
Experience with SIP/VoIP protocols & technology.
Strong DevOps focus and experience developing and building code with tools like Jenkins, etc.
Experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies.
Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Implement software engineering initiatives and programs to enhance existing products
Create technical documentation to be used by internal staff, partners and customers for reference
Lead embedded development initiatives and DSP advancement projects with peer engineers
Provide feedback into product development strategy to ensure reliability, functionality and efficiency

Critical Technical Experience:

Solid understanding of Speech codecs, transcoding, IP telephony and VQE
Detailed understanding of digital signal processing concepts and analog codecs
Mastery of C programming in Linux and embedded architectures
Experience with socket programming, TLS, concurrency, and memory management
Extensive experience with Linux operating system
Detailed understanding of OSI model, packet captures & wire-shark analysis

Nice to haves:

Experience with FAX protocols (T.30/T.38) and media protocols (RTP/RTCP, SRTP)
Detailed understanding of TCP & UDP protocols
Experience with Python and web development a plus
Experience with Telephony, SIP, porting, DIDs, SIP Trunks, Class 5 PBX functionality and management, DTMF, Tones, and experience with overall VOIP solutions
Understanding of troubleshooting tools for SIP Applications, Server Monitoring Tools and Support tools
Experience with routers, device management, and TR-069 / STUN a plus
Experience with DevOps tools like ansible, chef, puppet
